Congratulations to Javier Ornelas for taking first place in the men’s heavyweight gi blue belt division. Yet another great accomplishment for those training at MAGIC BJJ!

I wanted to make a quick post to notify all students of Thursday class changes. As of April 21st, 2010, the following schedule applies:

- 6:00pm to 7:00pm - Kid’s Karate Program
- 7:00pm to 8:00pm - Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (Gi)
- 8:00pm to 8:30pm - Sparring (both classes)
- 8:30pm to 9:30pm - Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (Advanced Gi, Blue belts and above)
Great Lakes Championships Tournament results!

We just got back from the Great Lakes Championships with some great team results!

Nicholas Linsemier (at age 16) took third place in both the adult mens blue belt Gi division and third place in the adult mens blue belt Absolute Gi division.
Amy Jentz took first place in both the women’s adult white belt Gi division and the women’s No-Gi Absolute division.
Samantha Stewart (at age 17) in her first tournament, took fourth place in the women’s adult white belt Gi division.

Pan Jiu-Jitsu 2010 Championships!

Congratulations to one of my Machado black belt instructors, Tyrone Gooden, who placed third in the Pan Jiu-Jitsu 2010 Championships in the Senior 2 Black Belt division. Tyrone trained hard for this tournament and we a very happy for his success
